Attorney With A Life

August 19, 2015

You may have noticed the lack of blog posts these lasts months, and that is because I have been hard at work on developing a new blog for lawyers called “Attorney With A Life.”

Attorney With A Life (AWAL) brings together a varied group of contributors from across North America all writing about tips, ideas, and strategies for navigating your way to a rewarding and fulfilling life as a legal professional (which let’s face it – is pretty hard to do these days.)

The site launched this week and you can find it here:  http://www.attorneywithalife.com

For my Canadian friends and readers: Yes, “attorney”, I know.  That is so un-Canadian.  And yet it provides me with an excellent acronym “AWAL”.

I will soon have the URL lawyerwithalife.ca up and running and it will link to the same AWAL content but provide a more Canadian-friendly point of entry, should you prefer that.

For those of you who have started the New Year with a search for greener career pastures here are 5 tips featured in my Slaw.ca column to help you to create a resume that succeeds at highlighting your unique strengths. Read More.

I always advocate preparing some questions to ask during your job interview.  Here’s a great video from Business Insider with 7 questions to ask at the end of the interview.  You can modify these to suit your situation.
